This Privacy Policy explains how the Valo app ("Valo"), operated by Persin Private Limited ("Persin", "we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use the app and related services (the "Services"). Valo is an AI-assisted reminder app: it helps you capture things to remember by typing, speaking, taking a photo, or connecting your email and WhatsApp, and it creates and surfaces reminders for you. To do this, some of your information is processed by us and by the service providers described below. By using Valo, you consent to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
This policy applies to information we collect through the Valo app and related services, and through messages and notifications sent in connection with them. It does not apply to information you provide to third-party services (such as Google or WhatsApp) under their own terms.
Valo is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. If you are under 18, you should use Valo only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We do not use advertising identifiers and do not access your device's contact book. We do not collect location unless you explicitly set a location-based reminder, in which case location is accessed only to trigger that reminder.
To sign you in; store and show reminders; understand what you give us to create, organise, and draft reminders; deliver reminders; respond to support; keep the app secure; and comply with legal obligations.
Your information is processed by the third-party providers below, on our behalf, only to provide these features; we do not permit them to use your content for their own purposes.
We use analytics services (such as PostHog and Google's Firebase) to understand app usage (features used, where people struggle) to improve Valo — usage events tied to an anonymous account id, not reminder or message content. We may use advertising services such as Google to promote Valo and measure campaign effectiveness, including whether an ad led to an install.
We do not sell your personal information and do not share it with third parties for their own purposes. We share only: with the service providers above (on our behalf); when required by law or legal process or to protect rights, safety, or security; and, in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with the party involved, subject to this policy.
Some information (e.g. voice audio to Deepgram, certain optional AI features) is processed in the United States.
Stored on our servers and providers', primarily in India. Kept while you use the app. Media attachments auto-removed after 90 days. Disconnecting Gmail or WhatsApp removes the stored data for that connection.
Email think@persin.ai to delete your account and associated data. Copies may remain in encrypted backups for a limited period and where required by law or to prevent fraud or abuse. Deleting the app from your device removes the on-device data.
Update your profile, disconnect Gmail or WhatsApp, manage device permissions, and request access or deletion by contacting us. You may have additional rights under applicable law.
TLS in transit; restricted access. No method is completely secure. Keep your device and account secure.
We may update this policy; we revise the "Last updated" date, and continued use indicates acceptance.
